This role involves supporting residents in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being within various care settings such as nursing homes, and community care environments. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in senior care, dementia and memory care, and long-term support, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing quality of life through attentive and respectful caregiving. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Track medications accurately following prescribed instructions and document administration using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents during meal preparation and feeding to ensure nutritional needs are met Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to facilitate transfers and prevent injury Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties related to resident care Engage in social activities and provide emotional support to promote mental well-being Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop personalized care plans Skills Proven experience in senior care settings such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or personal care homes Strong knowledge of assisted living practices, dementia care, and memory support techniques Competency in medication EMR system and tracking and vital signs monitoring Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and record keeping Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining dignity and respect for residents Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized support Excellent communication skills for interacting with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams Knowledge of emergency procedures including first aid certification is highly desirable Join our team as an Experienced Senior Care Giver if you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others through dedicated caregiving.
