Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in home and community care, with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for clients through personalized care. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a vital role in helping clients maintain independence, safety, and comfort while promoting their overall well-being. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and observe patients' health status, noting any changes or concerns for appropriate action or reporting. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards. Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support patients with memory care needs, including those with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, utilizing specialized techniques. Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow individualized care plans that address each client's unique needs. Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient observation, vital signs monitoring, and basic nursing skills such as medication administration. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in hospice or dementia care is a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or aging-related conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred for client mobility assistance.
