Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide high-quality, personalized care to individuals in their own residences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in home and community care, with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life through attentive support and assistance. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for those you serve by delivering comprehensive care tailored to each individual's needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in health status to report to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary restrictions and care plans. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure proper safety protocols are followed during transfers and mobility assistance. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation for clients with dementia or developmental disabilities. Follow established care plans meticulously, documenting observations and activities to ensure continuity of care across shifts. Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environments with knowledge of patient observation and monitoring techniques. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are highly desirable. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple clients' needs while adhering to prescribed care plans. Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with clients' families, healthcare teams, and social workers. Experience working in group homes or nursing facilities is an asset; understanding of resident's rights and privacy regulations is essential. Pay:
$16.50 - $21.00 per hour
