Job Description
Job Summary Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and healthcare needs. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide personalized, respectful, and attentive care within clients' homes or community settings. Your dedication will help promote independence, safety, and well-being for those in need of support, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those managing chronic conditions such as dementia or autism. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status to identify any changes or concerns promptly. Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the home. Support patients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia through memory care techniques and patient observation. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient progress, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare protocols. Engage in light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to create a safe and comfortable environment for clients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, or family members to develop and implement personalized care plans that meet each client's unique needs. Qualifications Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or other cognitive impairments. Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and respond appropriately to emergencies or changes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
