Direct Care Aide

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, group homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents by promoting their independence and ensuring their well-being. This role requires a strong understanding of resident rights and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and nurturing environment. Ensure cleanliness and organization of living spaces, maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for all residents. Monitor and document residents' health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff members. Support residents in participating in social activities and community engagement opportunities. Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy, dignity, and choices at all times. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans tailored to individual needs. Experience Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in assisted living is not required, we will train. Background in social work or home care can be beneficial for understanding the needs of residents. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for success in this role.
