Brighter Days Health is dedicated to providing a supportive, engaging, and fun environment for adults with developmental disabilities. Our Day Program focuses on engaging activities, health and wellness, arts and crafts, fun community outings, and more.
Job Description:
We're looking for a compassionate and energetic Direct Care Worker to join our team! In this role, you will interact with our members daily, providing support, encouragement, and engagement in fun activities. Your role is to create a positive and inclusive environment where members feel valued and supported.
Responsibilities:
Assist members with daily activities and ensure their well-being. Engage in interactive activities such as games, arts and crafts, music, and exercise. Accompany members on community outings and ensure safety during trips. Foster a fun and inclusive environment that promotes socialization. Provide support with ADLs, meals, and mobility as needed. Maintain a clean and organized environment. Document daily activities and progress as required.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or GED. CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (or ability to obtain). Article 9, Prevention and Support, Abuse and Neglect (or ability to obtain). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus!
