The City of Peoria's Neighborhood & Human Services Department is looking for energetic, caring and creative individuals to join our team as Teacher/Caregivers in the fast-paced AM/PM Before and After School Program for school year 2026/2027. With flexible weekday shifts and opportunities to work at various elementary school locations within the Peoria Unified School district (within city limits), this is the perfect role for anyone who loves working with kids and wants a job that truly makes an impact. The AM/PM Before and After School Program cares for students ages 5-14, offering safe, engaging and enriching activities that include literacy, arts and crafts, STEAM projects and tons of fun! As a Teacher/Caregiver, you'll be a mentor, a role model and a key part of each child's daily success. Varied shifts are available. Together, we can create a schedule that works for you: Work mornings, Monday through Friday. Pick a few afternoons that fit in with your week and your other activities. Need more hours? Work both morning and afternoon shifts on multiple days. Early release on Wednesdays! Start at 1 pm and still make it count! Let us know your availability - we'll build a flexible schedule around it. The ideal candidate for this position will have: Experience implementing the execution of an activity, event or program with limited direction. Experience supervising and monitoring children by actively participating with them and leading activities and FUN! The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with the opportunity to make a difference for youth of all ages.
