Our Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) are designed to help clients live fulfilling and independent lives in the comfort of their own homes. We are committed to delivering personalized, compassionate care that meets the unique needs of each member we serve.
Position Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate HCBS Caregivers to provide one-on-one care to our members in their personal residences in Tucson. As an HCBS Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them with daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients while working in a supportive and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:

In-Home Caregiving:
Personal Care:
Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Meal Preparation:
Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to the dietary needs and preferences of the client.
Household Tasks:
Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing the client's living space to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. 2.
Companionship and Support:
Emotional Support:
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Engagement:
Encourage and assist clients in participating in recreational activities, hobbies, and social interactions that promote mental and physical well-being.
Transportation:
Provide transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, and other necessary outings, ensuring the safety and comfort of the client. 3.
Health and Safety Monitoring:
Health Monitoring:
Observe and report any changes in the client's physical or mental condition to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare provider.
Medication Assistance:
Assist with medication reminders and ensure that clients take prescribed medications as directed.
Safety:
Ensure the client's home environment is safe, identifying and addressing potential hazards. 4.
Documentation and Reporting:
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided, including daily care notes, incident reports, and other required documentation.
Communication:
Regularly communicate with the client's family members, case managers, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care and address any concerns. 5.
Compliance and Training:
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure all caregiving activities comply with state regulations, including those set by Arizona DDD, as well as The Nile Health Network's policies and procedures.
Ongoing Training:
Participate in mandatory training sessions and stay current with best practices in caregiving to ensure the highest standard of care.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required; we provide training to all new hires.
Certification:
Must obtain and maintain certifications required by Arizona DDD, including CPR and First Aid.
Background Check:
Must pass a background check and obtain a fingerprint clearance card in accordance with state regulations.
Driving:
Valid Arizona driver's license with a clean driving record required, and reliable transportation is necessary.
