In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to promote independence, comfort, and well-being. Your expertise will support residents in their daily activities while fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. Whether working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or home care settings, your dedication will help create a warm and nurturing atmosphere for those you serve. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Operate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities and health updates Utilize assistive devices like Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and prevent injuries Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with feeding when necessary Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and reduce agitation Conduct routine cleaning of resident areas to maintain a hygienic environment Drive residents when needed for appointments or outings, ensuring safety at all times Experience Proven experience in long-term care environments such as nursing homes, retirement homes, or personal care homes Hands-on experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in home or community settings Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and memory care best practices Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident information Prior work supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is highly valued Valid certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in medication administration or Hoyer lift operation are advantageous Fingerprint clearance card Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to enriching lives through compassionate caregiving.
