This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within a respectful and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while gaining valuable experience in caregiving and health support services. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, behavior, and overall condition, reporting any concerns promptly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Support clients with medication reminders and administration under supervision, adhering to HIPAA regulations for privacy and confidentiality Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization of personal spaces Use manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Follow individualized care plans designed by healthcare professionals to meet specific health and emotional needs Requirements Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to observe patients closely and respond appropriately in emergency situations; CPR and first aid certifications are a plus Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, or neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry efficiently Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and families Physical ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks required for resident support Join us in delivering compassionate care that truly makes a difference!
