Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Spanish-Speaking Caregiver / Home Care Aide (HCA) to join our team in Apple Valley. In this vital role, you will provide personalized in-home and community-based care to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Your primary goal will be to enhance the quality of life for clients through attentive, respectful, and culturally sensitive support. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in Spanish, a genuine desire to assist others, and experience working in various caregiving environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs and reporting changes to healthcare professionals Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers Document patient observations accurately and update care plans regularly Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation Assist with light housekeeping tasks including laundry, cleaning, and organizing Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Requirements Proven experience as a caregiver or home health aide, preferably with group home or assisted living experience Knowledge of patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and dementia/memory care Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or Alzheimer's disease Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and documentation standards Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in hospice or hospice care is a plus Experience working with residents who require heavy lifting or use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English; cultural sensitivity is essential Ability to perform light cleaning duties and meal preparation safely Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends as needed Physical capability for long periods of standing, walking, bending, or lifting If you are committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while advancing your caregiving career in a supportive environment, we encourage you to apply today. Pay:
