Job Summary As a Caregiver, you'll provide personalized care to a group of ladies with intellectual disabilities —supporting their daily needs with professionalism and heart. Responsibilities Assist with personal care (bathing if needed, hygiene reminders) Provide medication assistance (under managements delegation) Monitor and report health changes Prepare meals, light/deep housekeeping, and laundry Maintain accurate daily care documentation Promote safety, dignity, and emotional well-being. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being in clients' homes or community settings. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will help promote independence, safety, and comfort for those in your care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality Support clients with meal preparation, nutrition needs, and feeding assistance to promote overall well-being Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to safely transfer residents with mobility challenges Observe and document changes in patient condition, behavior, or mood to inform care plans and communicate with healthcare teams Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, developmental disabilities or autism Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans that meet each client's unique needs Skills Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings or group homes with a focus on senior or disability care Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare providers Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism or dementia requiring specialized memory or hospice care Competence in meal preparation, cleaning routines, and maintaining a safe environment for vulnerable populations Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while adapting to changing needs of clients Join us in providing compassionate home-based care that enriches lives!
