Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Elderly Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to seniors in a home or community setting. This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, dignity, and quality of life. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment for our residents. You will play a key part in enhancing daily living experiences through attentive caregiving, health monitoring, and compassionate companionship. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Observe residents closely for changes in behavior or health status, including dementia or Alzheimer's symptoms, and report findings promptly Maintain cleanliness of resident living areas through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Support residents with mobility challenges by manual handling and providing safe transfer assistance Follow all safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures to respond effectively during emergencies Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and update personalized care plans that meet each resident's unique needs Document care activities thoroughly in compliance with healthcare standards and regulations Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred Demonstrated ability to provide patient observation, monitor vital signs, and administer medications safely Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, TBI, or dementia-related conditions like Alzheimer's disease is advantageous Familiarity with care techniques such as Hoyer lifts, manual handling, and assisting with ADLs is essential Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality is required Previous roles involving long-term care or geriatrics will strengthen your application Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; ongoing training in hospice or memory care is a plus Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors by providing compassionate care that fosters independence and well-being.
