In Home Caregiver Caring Roots Home Care Bakersfield, CA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $17 - $19 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training Flexible schedule Paid sick time Qualifications CPR Certification First aid Driver's License First Aid Certification Full Job Description Job Summary Caring Roots Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable Caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support to seniors and adults across Bakersfield and Kern County. Our caregivers help clients live safely and comfortably in their own homes through attentive, personalized care, companionship, and help with daily living. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and committed to treating every client with dignity and respect. Prior experience in senior care is valued but not required; we provide paid training and ongoing support. This is a W-2 employee position, not a contractor role, and includes paid sick leave and workers' compensation coverage. Please note : Caring Roots Home Care is currently in pre-launch and anticipates beginning client services in July 2026, pending final CDSS licensing. We are accepting caregiver applications now so we can welcome and onboard our founding team ahead of launch. Hiring, training, and start dates will align with our official launch timeline. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Provide companionship and meaningful social engagement to support emotional well-being Prepare meals and assist with eating as needed Perform light housekeeping such as tidying, laundry, and keeping living spaces clean and comfortable Assist with errands, appointments, and outings Help clients maintain their independence, routines, and quality of life at home Observe and report any changes in a client's condition or well-being to the office Follow each client's individual care plan and Caring Roots' safety and confidentiality standards Please note : this is a non-medical position. Caring Roots caregivers do not administer medications, monitor vital signs, operate medical lift equipment, or perform any nursing or medical procedures. Qualifications A caring, patient, and dependable nature with strong communication skills Prior caregiving or in-home care experience is welcomed but not required A valid California driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to complete a background check (Live Scan) and TB test as a condition of employment Eligibility to register on the California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registry Ability to assist with safe, hands-on transfers and mobility support A compassionate attitude and genuine commitment to client dignity CPR and First Aid certification is a plus; not required, and training support is available Join a locally owned team that treats caregivers like family.
