Social Vocational Services (SVS) has been serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout California since 1977.

THE POSITION

We're looking for full-time Personal Support Specialist at our Bakersfield program office. Provide one-to-one training or adaptive services to a specific client enrolled in our Day Program Provide training, support and/or accommodation necessary for completing client objectives Assist with personal hygiene needs Serve as facilitator to integrate assigned client into group activities

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Post-job offer, must obtain DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance Must pass post-job offer job-related physical exam including TB test and drug screen First Aid/CPR certification (SVS will provide) Effective written and verbal communication
