Job Description

Caregiver needed for a 61-year-old man living with cerebral palsy in his South Berkeley apartment.
Shifts needed:
Monday-Friday 4:00pm-11:00pm Active registration with Alameda County IHSS is required. The successful candidate will have experience, excellent observation skills, and be able to provide excellent personal care and emotional support. Duties include but are not limited to meal preparation and clean-up, assisting with meals as requested, dressing, personal hygiene, transfers between bed and power chair using assistive equipment. Moderate physical support for trasnfers between power chair and toilet, assisting with getting him through his evening routine as requested and light housekeeping. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate in a mature manner with client and other support team members. Any experience or knowledge of keeping a Kosher kitchen is a plus. Training will be provided. Must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19. Bonus paid for working a minimum of 4-hour shift on eligible holidays. Rate of pay is $20-$21.60 per hour, IHSS billable hours will be included.
