He can stand with assistance but you need to be strong for this role to help him stand (either a strong female or a male). He wears a diaper and you need to have experience providing this type of care. It would be ideal if you have a car and can take him to Dr appointments as well. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of an elderly woman with dementia. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting clients' health, safety, and well-being. This paid position emphasizes professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to improve quality of life through personalized care. Schedule Full-time Monday through Saturday 8AM - 5PM Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs. Support clients with memory care needs by implementing specialized dementia and Alzheimer's care techniques, creating a safe environment, and engaging them in meaningful activities. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe and hygienic living space. Able to provide safe and reliable transportation to appointments and for running errands. Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a trusting relationship that enhances overall well-being. Qualifications Proven experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments. Familiarity with working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or require dementia/memory care. Strong communication skills to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines. Must have a California Driver's License with a reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance!!!!! Flexibility to work live-in shifts or part-time hours based on client needs; prior home & community care experience is highly valued.
