Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, shaving, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' health status by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations Support clients with meal preparation, nutritional needs, and light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and progress to inform care plans and communicate updates to healthcare professionals Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce feelings of isolation, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease Requirements Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Additional training in dementia/memory care is a plus Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary and operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or aging-related conditions like Alzheimer's or dementia Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams This role is ideal for compassionate professionals eager to provide high-quality home care that enhances clients' quality of life.
