In this vital role, you will foster a safe, nurturing environment while promoting independence and well-being. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help create positive experiences for those in your care, ensuring their needs are met with kindness and professionalism. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive caregiving and engaging activities. Responsibilities Provide care/ADL's to RCFE DD supporting their physical, emotional, and developmental needs Assist with daily routines such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and diaper changing for infants and young children Implement age-appropriate activities that promote development, learning, and socialization Support individuals with disabilities by helping them participate in daily tasks and encouraging independence Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular safety checks Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, or team members about the individual's progress and needs Apply first aid techniques when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or behavioral challenges Skills Proven experience in elderly care with behavior Knowledge ofdevelopmental disability principles and behavior management strategies Ability to work effectively with elderly with developmental disabilities Strong understanding of safety procedures; certification in first aid is preferred Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly valued Excellent teaching skills to support early childhood education initiatives Compassionate attitude combined with patience and adaptability in dynamic environments
