Job Description
Job Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer clients and prevent injury Maintain cleanliness of the home environment through light cleaning and organization to promote hygiene and comfort Document care activities meticulously, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams or family members Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages independence and well-being Experience Prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly valued Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia including other memory care needs Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response procedures such as CPR and first aid Experience with patient monitoring tools and assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts is preferred Familiarity with HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality of patient information Background in long-term care settings or hospice care that emphasizes compassionate support for patients facing chronic or terminal conditions Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or mobility assistance Strong social work skills to engage clients meaningfully while respecting their dignity and preferences This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a tangible difference in people's lives.
