Full Job Description Primary Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate, supportive, and consistent in-person care for one autistic adult. Participant lives in Burlingame, and job is in his personal residence. Assist participant with daily living activities including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Support participate in recreational, fitness, and social activities to promote well-being and integration. Encourage and assist with workouts, light physical activity, and community outings. Remain present in the same room or immediate area during all scheduled hours. Strictly follow the agreed-upon schedule without deviation. Coordinate and attend family meetings, outings, and trips as needed. Participate in bi-weekly Zoom caregiving team meetings with the behaviorist during scheduled shifts. Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and cleaning the kitchen after meals. Provide access to sensory tools and encourage their use for emotional and sensory regulation. Observe and report any changes in behavior, health, or mood promptly, maintaining detailed records as requested. Apply behaviorist-recommended tools and techniques to manage and redirect unwanted behaviors. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment at all times. Uphold the privacy and confidentiality of the individual and their family, including reviewing and signing a confidentiality agreement. Collaborate closely with the behaviorist to implement proactive and reactive strategies tailored to the individual's needs. Maintain a calm and respectful demeanor; refrain from yelling, profanity, or inappropriate gestures. Communicate clearly and professionally with teammates, supervisors, healthcare providers, and family members to ensure consistent care. Perform all physical aspects of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation, including walking, assisting with mobility, lifting up to 50 lbs, and participating in outings and day trips.
