Come be a part of Senior Living designed with purpose, and be part of a team that is redefining the culture of care. At The Oars, the Caregivers primary purpose and function is to provide quality care and experiences for our residents who live with health ailments and/or cognitive impairment resulting from the aging process, Alzheimer's disease, dementia and other illnesses. Must have a caring heart.
  • Develop a naturally "inspired" relationship with our residents and their family members.
  • Ensure care delivery is dignified and of quality standards.
  • Understanding and respecting each resident as an individual with specific preferences, needs and values.
  • Have the ability to communicate with residents using compassion, empathy and validation.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living according to their individual needs reflected on their plan of care. This will include, but is not limited to providing assistance with mobility, transfers, bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, dining and activity engagement.
  • Active involvement in the day to day interdisciplinary operations of the Memory Care and/or Assisted Living Neighborhood(s) to ensure quality care and services are delivered.
This will include completing neighborhood specific assignments relating to Housekeeping standards, Maintenance standards, Dining practices and standards, Wellness support and standards, "Programming That Cares" standards and practices and Community Relations practices and standards.
  • Daily light housekeeping duties which includes bed making, keeping room neat and tidy, and emptying trash.
  • Responsible to report any change in resident condition/unusual incident to the Department Director, Healthcare Director and/or Executive Director in a timely manner.
