Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Part-Time Caregiver to join our team. In an RCFE setting, you will be deeply connected to a community, allowing you to build stable, rewarding relationships with the same group of residents every day. This role is perfect for nursing students, individuals seeking a fulfilling secondary income, or experienced caregivers looking for a reliable, facility-based part-time schedule. Key Responsibilities Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist residents with dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and personal hygiene with the utmost dignity.

Mobility Support:

Assist with transferring, walking, and turning residents safely.

Meal Assistance:

Serve nutritious meals and provide feeding assistance or encouragement as needed.

Medication Assistance:

Help with central storage and distribution of medication (after completing facility-approved training).

Engagement & Companionship:

Foster a warm social environment by chatting with residents, encouraging participation in community activities, and monitoring emotional well-being.

Observation & Reporting:

Monitor residents for any changes in physical condition, behavior, or cognitive status, and document/report updates to the Facility Administrator or Lead Med-Tech.

Light Housekeeping:

Maintain clean, safe, and tidy resident rooms and common areas.

Job Requirements & Qualifications Experience:

Previous caregiving experience in an RCFE, assisted living, or memory care setting is highly preferred, but we are willing to train the right person with a heart for seniors. Regulatory Compliance (RCFE Standards): Must pass a Live Scan criminal background check (FBI/DOJ clearance). Must obtain a health screening and a clear TB test (completed within the last 12 months or upon hire). First Aid and CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain before starting).

Skills:

Excellent communication, patience, emotional maturity, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently (e.g., supplies, laundry, equipment). Ability to safely transfer, pivot, and position residents of varying weights, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices (such as gait belts or sit-to-stand lifts) or two-person assist protocols when necessary.
