Ideal candidates are those that have worked with Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in any capacity such: caregiver, Instructional Aide, Direct Care Staff, Direct care Staff or Day Program staff. Responsibilities Providing clients with support, company, and comfort. Providing constant and appropriate supervision while on duty. Assisting participants in accessing generic community-based services and activities to enhance their ability to participate in independent living skills, leisure, vocational, pre vocational, social & recreational activities in natural environements. Experience Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred. Experience in any social service field is also acceptable. At least one year of experience in caregiving is preferred. Must be able to pass a fingerprinting/criminal background check. Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle. Must either have or be willing to become CPR/First Aid certified. Must have or get a clear TB test result.
