Job Description

Job Description At Coast Care, we recognize the invaluable role that family members and close friends play in supporting loved ones. Through California's CalAIM initiative (California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal), we're proud to offer a program that allows individuals who are already caring for someone at home to receive training, support, and compensation for the care they provide. As a Personal Caregiver (PCG) under this program, you'll help your Medi-Cal-enrolled family member remain safe, healthy, and independent at home—all while being recognized and supported for the work you're already doing.
Key Responsibilities Personal Care Assistance:
Help with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
Meal Preparation:
Prepare and serve meals based on dietary needs
Medication Reminders:
Support timely and accurate medication intake
Light Housekeeping:
Keep the home environment safe and clean
Companionship:
Provide social and emotional support
Documentation:
Keep simple records of care activities and observations Who Should Apply This role is designed for individuals who: Are already providing care to a family member or close friend who is enrolled in Medi-Cal Want to receive support for the care they're providing Are committed to helping their loved one stay safely at home Are looking to grow their skills through caregiving training Want to join a mission-driven team that values connection, respect, and empathy Qualifications Must be 18 years or older Actively caring for someone enrolled in Medi-Cal Physically able to perform caregiving duties Willing to complete background checks, TB testing, and training Benefits Paid hourly for caregiving services Paid training Flexible schedules that work around your availability Ongoing support from the Coast Care team Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life Join Us If you're caring for a loved one who is enrolled in Medi-Cal, Coast Care is here to support you.
