In this vital role, you will be the primary caregiver, ensuring residents' safety, comfort, and well-being through personalized care and attentive support. Pay is talked during interview Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health status is maintained. Administer medications accurately following prescribed guidelines and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques. Support residents with assisted living needs by preparing nutritious meals, assisting with feeding when necessary, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist residents with transfers and prevent injury. Engage residents in social activities and provide emotional support to foster a sense of community and well-being. Qualifications Entry level and or prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home & community care is highly desirable. Knowledge with Mild Intellectual Disabilities, Bipolar Disorder, Schizoaffective Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorder, Intermittent explosive Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive disorder, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general is advantageous. If there's no experience that's okay we are here to help you gain experience. Ability to accurately take vital signs and assist with medication self administration following safety protocols. Strong caregiving skills complemented by excellent communication, patience, and empathy. Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities related to resident outings or appointments is a plus.
