Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as a Residential Care Facility Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, comprehensive care to residents with diverse needs. In this energetic and rewarding position, you'll support individuals living with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other health conditions. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster a safe, nurturing environment where residents feel valued and empowered. You will assist with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their well-being through attentive personal care and engaging social interactions. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status accurately Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols while maintaining detailed documentation in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to promote proper nutrition and social engagement Support residents in participating in recreational activities, social outings, and community events to enhance quality of life Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Drive residents to appointments or outings using company vehicles when required, ensuring safety at all times Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or personal care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of long-term care practices, home & community care experience, or working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous Hands-on experience with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or memory care programs is beneficial Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes is a plus Proven ability to handle emergency situations through first aid certification or relevant training is desirable Experience operating caregiving equipment such as Hoyer lifts or mobility aids enhances your suitability for this role Strong communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to resident support are essential for success Join us in making a meaningful difference every day!
