In this vital role, you will provide exceptional personal care and support to residents in a licensed senior care community, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Your energetic approach and attentive nature will help foster a warm, engaging environment where residents feel valued and cared for. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities while working in a supportive, team-oriented setting. All positions are paid, including internships, emphasizing our commitment to fair employment practices. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure residents' health stability Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and maintain detailed medication records Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and hydration needs while promoting nutritional well-being Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to document care activities, health updates, and incident reports efficiently Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers and mobility needs Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and common spaces Drive residents when necessary for appointments or outings in compliance with safety protocols and licensing requirements Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to coordinate comprehensive resident care plans Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and behavior management techniques Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while maintaining resident dignity and independence Strong understanding of vital signs monitoring and medication administration procedures Excellent caregiving skills with a focus on senior care and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Familiarity with EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident information Ability to operate Hoyer lifts safely and confidently handle mobility assistance equipment Valid driver's license for driving residents when required; clean driving record preferred Good communication skills to work collaboratively within a team and engage positively with residents and their families Join us in creating a caring community where every resident feels respected, supported, and empowered.
