In this role, you will provide essential support and personalized care to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, assisted living, or home & community care environments, with a strong commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life through attentive caregiving. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Monitor vital signs and observe residents for any changes in health or behavior Provide Alzheimer's and dementia care with patience and understanding Support residents with memory care needs through personalized engagement and activities Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and preferences Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Document resident care activities accurately using EMR systems or paper records Support residents during outings or appointments by providing transportation as needed Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and reduce agitation Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and memory care best practices Certification in First Aid and CPR required or willingness to obtain upon hire Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a caregiving environment Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members Valid driver's license for resident outings or transportation duties preferred Familiarity with EMR systems is advantageous Physical ability to assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life This role is vital in providing compassionate, respectful, and professional care to our residents.
