The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities while working in a supportive and professional setting. We are looking for the following shifts: 1- PM SHIFTS from 2pm to 10pm (MUST
BE ABLE TO WORK BOTH
SATURDAY and SUNDAYS) 2- NOC SHIFT from 10pm to 7am (MUST
BE ABLE TO WORK BOTH WEEKENDS
SATURDAY and SUNDAYS)
Duties:
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor patient behavior and observe for any changes in condition or mood Administer medications and manage medication schedules in accordance with care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Support clients during community outings and social activities to promote engagement and independence Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including vital signs and progress notes Follow safety protocols, including proper use of assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts Assist with light cleaning tasks to ensure a clean, safe living environment Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop and implement individualized care plans Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred; group home or home & community care experience is a plus Certification in First Aid and CPR required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience with assisted living, long-term care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, or nursing home settings is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and operate assistive devices safely Strong communication skills and patience when working with individuals requiring specialized support Valid driver's license preferred for community outings or appointments Ability to work flexible hours in accordance with client needs; compassionate attitude essential for providing quality patient care Must adhere to all safety standards and confidentiality regulations related to patient information This role is vital in supporting individuals with autism spectrum disorder by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to their unique needs. Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
