Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Caregiver to join our team in the Silver Lake/ Helendale area. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality personal care and support to residents with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. Your energy and attentiveness will help create a safe, comfortable, and engaging environment for our residents. This position offers flexible hours for individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others while gaining valuable experience in senior care, assisted living, and home health services. Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, ensuring timely reporting to nursing staff Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area Conduct patient observation to identify signs of dementia, Alzheimer's, or other neurodevelopmental disorders, ensuring resident safety at all times Assist with community outings or activities that promote social engagement and mental stimulation Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, resident progress, and any incidents in compliance with HIPAA and facility policies Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques, care plans, medication administration, and vital signs measurement Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely; CPR/First Aid certification is a plus Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of resident information Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving Flexibility to work part-time hours with availability for shifts that may include evenings or weekends Join us in providing exceptional care that enhances the quality of life for our clients!
