  • $6,000 a month 12 hours ago Benefits Fuel reimbursement Paid time off Qualifications Working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders Live-in employment Intellectual disabilities support Adults with developmental disabilities Full Job Description Join a dedicated team supporting a woman in her early 30s with developmental disabilities in the La Mesa area of San Diego.
A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with special needs is required. We have an immediate opening for a live-in Personal Attendant. This live-in position includes a private bedroom/bathroom and monthly compensation.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, energy, consistency, patience, and maturity
  • Possesses knowledge of developmental disabilities and person-centered behavioral management skills
  • Has a minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with special needs.
Responsibilities:
  • Supporting hygiene and assisting with cooking, cleaning, and household management
  • Developing life skills through verbal/visual prompts and role modeling
  • Scheduling and transporting the client to medical appointments
  • Nurturing community connections, supporting independence goals, and cultivating hobbies.
Requirements:
  • Reliable vehicle with current insurance
  • Must pass a LiveScan background check
  • CPR/First Aid certification (the company can provide registration upon hire)
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention certification (the company can provide upon hire)
  • IHSS certification (preferred).

    up to $6,000 per month (with IHSS cert))
