OneWell Health Care Behavioral Caregiver Position Details:

Job Type:

Part-time, Various shifts available.

Pay Rate:

$20.00 to $23.00 per hour

Work Location:

In-person, in-home, and community-based settings

Role Overview:

The Behavioral Caregiver provides individualized care and behavioral support to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) who may exhibit challenging behaviors.

This role includes:

Implementing positive behavior support plans and individualized support strategies Supporting individuals with emotional regulation, communication, and social skills Utilizing redirection, reinforcement, and de-escalation techniques appropriately Documenting behaviors, incidents, and progress in accordance with ISP and treatment goals Assisting with activities of daily living and promoting independence Performing duties ethically and in compliance with HIPAA, Medicaid guidelines, and behavioral best practices

Qualifications & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (Required) Experience supporting individuals with behavioral or mental health needs (Required) De-escalation/crisis intervention training (Preferred) Minimum age of 18 years (Required) Driver's License & Reliable Transportation (Required)

Physical Demands:

Work occurs in various home and community settings, which may vary in housing style, temperature, and accessibility Must be able to provide physical support and assist with mobility and personal care tasks as needed Must be able to remain calm, alert, and responsive in high-stress or crisis situations
