Vista Del Mar Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and reliable Full-Time Assisted Living Caregiver to join our dedicated team. Essential Functions:
Resident Care Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring, and mobility. Engages residents in meaningful conversation, socialization, and activities while providing personal care assistance. Responds promptly to resident needs and/or requests for care and provides or obtains assistance as necessary. Upholds Residents' Rights at all times. Supports and upholds all company policies and care philosophy. Observes residents for changes in physical, emotional, mental, or behavioral condition, unusual symptoms, accidents, injuries, or unusual occurrences, and reports them promptly to a licensed nurse. Completes all forms and documentation, including incident reports, change of condition reports, and behavior tracking, as requested and in a timely manner. Assists in the dining room during resident meal times. Encourages residents to participate in scheduled activities and outings and assists with those activities as needed. Provides residents with opportunities for self-expression and enhanced self-esteem through spontaneous individual or small group interaction and activities. Assists with other duties as assigned. Housekeeping Makes resident beds, empties resident trash, and tidies resident rooms daily and as needed. Changes resident bed linens according to community schedule and as needed due to incontinence. Changes resident towels on bath days and as needed if soiled. Assists with resident laundry per shift guidelines. Maintains resident clothing and clothing closets in a clean, neat, and orderly manner. Cleans dining room tables and chairs after meals and snacks. Notifies Housekeeping of spills and soiled areas and assists with clean-up as needed. When no Housekeeper is on duty, cleans spills and soiled areas immediately. Straightens chairs, pillows, and decorative items in common areas as needed and returns items to the appropriate location when found out of place. Assists in cleaning wheelchairs, walkers, and other resident equipment per community cleaning schedule and as needed. Assists with dusting, vacuuming, and other housekeeping duties as assigned. Other Attends all required staff meetings and in-service training sessions. Demonstrates a positive attitude and contributes to an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation within the community. Answers phones as needed in a prompt and courteous manner. Promotes customer service and positive community relations by treating residents, families, staff, and visitors in a courteous, helpful, and friendly manner. Assists with other duties as assigned. Working Conditions :
Must be able to work full-time or part-time, as agreed upon, on assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. Scheduling may vary based on operational needs and will comply with applicable California wage and hour laws. Maintains reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality in accordance with scheduled shifts and applicable leave laws. Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, subject to applicable scheduling and reporting-time-pay laws. Follows all company policies, procedures, and guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook. Physical/Sensory Requirements:
Must be able to visually and physically perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Medium work•Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Must be able to see well enough to read, write, and visually interact with residents, families, and staff. Must be able to speak and hear well enough to verbally interact with residents, families, and staff. OSHA Category Classification:

Potential for exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Employment Requirements:
Experience in a long-term care or senior living community preferred but not required. Must have a current First Aid certification or be willing to obtain certification upon hire. Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Must be in good health and complete a pre-employment physical examination and TB screening/testing in accordance with California regulatory requirements prior to beginning employment. Must successfully complete criminal background clearance through the California Live Scan process prior to employment. Must be able to work weekends and some holidays as scheduled.
