In this vital role, you will foster a safe, respectful, and engaging environment while helping residents maintain their independence and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration activities Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and hydration to promote proper nutrition Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or gait belts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and communicate effectively with healthcare teams about residents' needs Support residents' social engagement by encouraging participation in activities that promote mental and emotional well-being Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety at all times Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavior management techniques Ability to assist with ADLs effectively while respecting resident dignity and independence Familiarity with vital signs measurement and medication administration procedures Strong caregiving skills with experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities of any kind Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, residents, and families Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently for documentation purposes Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents throughout shifts Valid driver's license for driving responsibilities; clean driving record preferred Certifications such as First Aid/CPR are highly desirable; ongoing training encouraged Join our team where your compassion fuels your work!
