About Us Love Home, Inc. is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit founded in 2014 with a mission to provide safe, compassionate, and supportive housing for individuals in need. As part of the local Continuum of Care, we offer residents a structured and stable environment where they can focus on recovery, well-being, and ultimately a successful transition to independent living in permanent housing. About the Residential Aide Role Residential Aides are the primary point of contact for participants in our housing programs and play a critical role in creating a safe, supportive, and orderly living environment. Guided by a harm reduction approach, Residential Aides monitor daily activities, ensure participant safety and security, and support smooth program operations during their assigned shifts. In this role, you will work closely with program management and fellow staff to uphold program integrity, respond to resident needs, and maintain compliance with Love Home, Inc. standards, contractual obligations, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a positive role model and maintain professional boundaries with housing participants. Conduct regular walkthroughs to ensure resident safety, cleanliness, and compliance with house rules. Assist with food-related tasks, including handling, preparing, and distributing participant meals in accordance with health and safety standards. Support daily operations including personal hygiene guidance, recreational activities, and transportation assistance. Supervise residents during program activities and communicate behavior or safety concerns promptly to program management. Monitor and document daily logs, incidents, and maintenance needs accurately and in real time. Provide assistance with light housekeeping tasks (laundry, restocking supplies, general cleanliness). Ensure all participants are safely monitored and rules are consistently enforced. Report pest infestations, facility issues, and any violations of safety procedures. Promote wellness through support of nutritious meals and healthy lifestyle practices. Respond professionally and appropriately to emergencies; notify proper authorities or staff when necessary. Uphold confidentiality standards and ensure compliance with Love Home Inc. policies and all applicable local, state, and federal laws. Qualifications Minimum of 6 months of experience in a residential or behavioral health setting supporting individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, or complex needs, including those experiencing homelessness or other forms of housing instability. Experience working with culturally and socially diverse populations, including individuals who are formerly incarcerated, low-income, or have special needs. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, including completing clear, timely documentation and incident reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc and ability to navigate electronic systems for documentation and communication. Familiarity with trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles is strongly preferred. Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a professional team. Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and coworkers. Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Demonstrated respect for cultural and lifestyle diversity among participants and staff. Clean driving record required if driving participants is part of the job duties. Must be able to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the position, including working in a professional and responsible manner with vulnerable populations. Must not be under the influence of illegal substances and must comply with all workplace substance use policies. Must have a positive attitude and a desire to provide compassionate, non-confrontational support. Additional Requirements Employment is contingent upon the following, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws: Successful clearance of a background check conducted through Checkr (Live Scan may also be required depending on program or funding requirements) Possession and maintenance of current CPR and First Aid certification throughout employment; if not current at time of hire, must obtain within 30 days of employment A current negative tuberculosis (TB) test; if not current at time of hire, must obtain within 30 days of employment and maintain as required

Occasionally required to:
lift and/or move up to 50 pounds . May involve exposure to bodily fluids or biohazards, and interaction with challenging individuals.
Noise level:
moderate to loud . Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Support:
Training for this position will be provided. In addition, the Founder, Head of Operations, or delegate will be available for questions and assistance.
