In this vital role, you will provide compassionate assistance with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those in your care. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with clients in their homes or community settings, promoting independence and quality of life through attentive, professional caregiving. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer clients, adhering to safety protocols Observe and report changes in client behavior or health conditions to healthcare professionals promptly Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of living spaces Qualifications Prior experience in home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs effectively Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's disease), or memory care needs is desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks as needed Strong communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, and documentation procedures in home health or hospice settings Join us in providing exceptional in-home care that empowers individuals to live healthier, happier lives.
