A Better Solution In-Home Care — South OC is looking for you! We are looking to invest in amazing Caregivers to care for clients in the Orange County area Our Caregivers make a true difference in the lives of others every day!! They perform a variety of professional caregiving services including, but not limited to Companionship, Personal Care Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and Light Housekeeping.
We service the following areas:
Anaheim Orange Santa Ana Irvine Lake Forest Laguna Hills San Clemente Ideal candidates will bring: Two forms of ID (Driver's License, Passport or Social Security Card) HCA
  • PER ID number Current TB test (within a year) or chest x-ray (w/in 5 years)

Duties:
Provide care and support to individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities Implement behavior management strategies and interventions as directed by the treatment team Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and individual progress Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities is preferred Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies Ability to handle challenging behaviors in a calm and professional manner First aid and CPR certification is required Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for transporting individuals to appointments or community outings Ability to lift heavy objects or assist with transfers as needed Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • position is on call, hours aren't guaranteed/ will vary & based on availability, flexibility and willingness to accept shifts with & without notice
  • need to travel 15-25 miles from home
  • flexibility to switch to a different case at the last minute as clients' need changes For candidates:
  • willingness to learn & coachable
  • 6 month + of verifiable professional experience is a plus
  • non-certified acceptable
  • personal caregiving experience acceptable
  • must be friendly, polite and nice
