The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in hospice care, ensuring comfort and dignity during their end-of-life journey. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, offering companionship, and providing emotional support to both patients and their families. The Hospice Aide will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a respectful and empathetic manner. Duties Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. Provide meal preparation and assistance with feeding as needed. Support patients in maintaining personal hygiene and comfort. Offer companionship and emotional support to patients and their families. Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment. Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff. Assist in lifting or transferring patients safely using appropriate techniques. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care plans and updates. Experience Previous experience in caregiving roles such as assisted living, nursing home, or memory care is preferred. Familiarity with hospice care principles is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient-centered care. Ability to lift and move patients safely while adhering to proper safety protocols.
