Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and hygiene. Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations. Support medication administration under supervision and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed precisely. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper infection control practices. Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges. Document patient observations, care activities, and any incidents thoroughly to ensure seamless communication within the care team. Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages social interaction and mental well-being. Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care aligned with each resident's care plan. Experience 3+ years experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques Experience with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to provide specialized support. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and privacy in all patient interactions. Hands-on experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient monitoring is desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts is required for certain duties.
