Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Living Caregivers to join our team immediately in a full-time or part-time capacity. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care and support to residents in assisted living and memory care settings. This role involves assisting seniors and individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The caregiver will play a vital role in enhancing residents' quality of life through personalized care and support. Scheduling Availability Applicants must be available to work one of the following set schedules:
Assisted Living Caregivers:
Sunday through Thursday 6:00am to 2:00pm Tuesday through Saturday 6:00am to 2:00pm
Memory Care Caregivers:
Tuesday through Saturday 6:00am to 2:00pm Duties Read, understand, and implement care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) in accordance with each resident's service plan Provide direct care services to assigned residents while promoting independence and self-care Respond promptly to resident needs, pendant calls, community alarms, and emergency situations Demonstrate empathy and build respectful, caring relationships with residents Assist residents with ADLs, including grooming, transferring, mobility, and personal hygiene as needed Monitor, observe, and report changes in resident condition, including skin integrity, behavior, and eating habits Communicate resident status clearly and effectively during shift changes Report changes in condition to nursing staff or supervisors in a timely manner Complete incident reports accurately and within required timeframes Maintain accurate and complete documentation of care provided Conduct visual safety checks of assigned residents at the beginning and end of each shift Follow all safety, infection control, and emergency procedures Promote a clean, safe, and orderly environment for residents and staff Assist housekeeping and maintenance staff as needed to maintain cleanliness and safety of the community and resident property Identify and report environmental, behavioral, or psychosocial concerns impacting resident safety or comfort Assist with meal preparation and serving, and report changes in eating habits to the supervisor Skills Proven experience in senior care settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or retirement homes Compassionate, resident-focused care Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to follow care plans and instructions Time management and task prioritization Observation and reporting skills Calm and effective response in emergencies Attention to detail and accurate documentation Understanding of safety and infection control Reliability, professionalism, and adaptability Knowledge of Alzheimer's, dementia, and memory care techniques Ability to assist with ADLs and provide personal support with compassion and patience Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with residents, families, and team members Ability to operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts safely First aid certification is a plus but not mandatory Join our dedicated team committed to providing high-quality senior care. Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
