This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities by providing attentive, personalized care in a warm, supportive environment. As a Caregiver, you will be instrumental in ensuring residents' comfort, safety, and well-being through compassionate support and professional assistance. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately while respecting HIPAA privacy standards. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation practices. Administer medications following care plans and medication administration protocols under supervision or as trained. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas, laundry, and sanitation tasks. Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease and dementia by engaging them in meaningful activities and providing reassurance. Document all care activities meticulously, including patient observations, incident reports, and updates to care plans to ensure continuity of quality care. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred. Certification or training in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA compliance or hospice care are advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, or memory impairments like Alzheimer's disease. Strong patient observation skills with the ability to detect subtle changes in residents' conditions promptly. Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting residents with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices. Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols aligned with healthcare regulations. Compassionate attitude combined with excellent communication skills to foster trust and rapport with residents and team members.
