Our mission is to create a warm, inclusive environment where seniors feel safe, respected, and valued. If you are patient, kind, and motivated to make a difference in the lives of the elderly, we'd love to meet you. We are looking for caregivers who already know how to do this work well. Prior experience in working in a 6-bed RCFE is a plus.
Available Shifts:
Weekends Day Shift (8am
- 4:30p) Evening Shift (4:30p
- 9pm) Overnight (9pm
- 8am)
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on caregiving experience in an RCFE, assisted living, skilled nursing, or comparable setting — home care companion roles alone do not meet this bar Demonstrated experience with incontinence care, safe transfer techniques, and assisting non-ambulatory or partially ambulatory residents Comfortable with medication assistance and MAR documentation Able to pass DOJ/FBI Live Scan background check (criminal record clearance through Community Care Licensing) Valid negative TB test (within the last 6 months) and current health screening Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster CPR and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain before start) Willing to complete the 40-hour RCFE Initial Certification Training and ongoing CEUs as required by California Title 22 Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Keeps resident information confidential; respects resident's rights, respects privacy and right to self-determination of residents. Capable of working overtime and alternate shifts as needed. This position requires weekend and holiday availability. Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that quality personal care and hygiene is given by brushing and flossing of teeth, helping with showers, bed baths, shampooing, shaving, hair grooming and general skin care, including assistance with toileting and incontinence care. Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks that meet dietary needs for residents. Incontinence care — brief changes, peri-care, skin integrity monitoring, dignified handling at every step Give medication reminders, administer medication timely, correctly and document each time. Safe transfers — bed-to-chair, chair-to-toilet, sit-to-stand, two-person transfers, gait belt use, Hoyer lift experience a plus Fall prevention and ambulation assistance for residents with varying mobility levels Maintain a safe, sanitary, and tidy home for residents. Support activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding patients as necessary; ambulating, turning, and positioning patients; provides fresh water and snacks between meal and bedtime snacks. Monitor and record vital signs, and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the Administrator or Manager Observe any changes in resident physical or mental status and communicate to the Administrator or Manager. Provide laundry and housekeeping services to residents. Provide patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients' call lights and requests; reporting observations of the patient to Administer or Manager. Assists with resident activity programs as assigned. Complies with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential patient information. Follows all policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment. Looks for ways to improve community functioning. Create a welcoming and supportive environment that fosters resident independence and comfort, and support their ability to exercise their rights and choices.
