This part-time role offers an energizing opportunity to provide essential assistance, promote independence, and foster a warm, safe environment for residents. If you're passionate about caregiving and eager to contribute to a community-focused setting, this position is perfect for you! Your proactive approach and caring nature will help create a positive, empowering atmosphere for those in your care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health and well-being through patient observation and vital signs checks Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service Support residents with medication administration following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper sanitation practices Observe and document changes in residents' conditions, including memory care or dementia-related behaviors Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's personal assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being Requirements Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly desirable Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and basic patient monitoring techniques Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers safely using appropriate equipment Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and family members while respecting HIPAA guidelines Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed Embark on a rewarding caregiving journey where your dedication transforms lives.
