Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Caregiver / Companion to provide attentive care and companionship to an elderly woman. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life by supporting their daily needs, ensuring safety, and promoting well-being. The ideal candidate will bring a warm, energetic approach to caregiving, demonstrating patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to enhance quality of life. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about senior care and experienced in providing personalized support in home or community settings. Responsibilities Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Serve meals during appropriate meal times (no cooking involved just reheating) Support medication management and administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations Maintain a clean, safe environment through regular cleaning and organization of living spaces Provide companionship by engaging in conversation, and 10 minute walk Communicate updates with family as needed Skills Past experience in preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities Certified in first aid and CPR; trained in patient observation and patient monitoring techniques Familiarity with HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality of patient information Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation efficiently Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect empathetically with seniors and their families This paid position offers flexible hours for those passionate about making a positive impact through caregiving.
