  • Part-time Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In-home Care Aids to provide personalized support and assistance to clients in their own homes.
This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals recovering from illness. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent observational skills, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve. Prior experience in home health or long-term care settings is highly valued. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide medication reminders and assist following care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation Monitor and document vital signs, patient observations, and any changes in health status Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer techniques; heavy lifting may be required Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to promote mental well-being Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality of patient information Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans Assist with specialized care such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, or hospice support as needed Observe and report any concerns related to patient safety or health status promptly Skills Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in patient safety is a plus Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments Strong ability to monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in condition Knowledge of medication administration and adherence to care plans Compassionate caregiver with excellent communication skills and patience when working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or dementia Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with transfers or mobility support Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality Experience working with people with disabilities or chronic conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or other memory impairments Ability to work independently while following detailed instructions from healthcare providers This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support at home.
