This role involves assisting clients in their daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their independence in a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, a strong understanding of patient care principles, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. Must Have DSP Certification Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide personal care and support to individuals in group homes, assisted living facilities, or home settings. Monitor client health by taking vital signs and observing changes in behavior or condition. Implement care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences. Administer medications as prescribed while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Support clients in social interactions and community engagement activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Assist with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being. Document daily activities and any significant changes in client status. Skills First aid and CPR certification preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer's care is highly desirable. Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client assistance. Knowledge of home health practices and long-term care experience is beneficial. Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plans. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members. Compassionate approach towards caregiving with a focus on enhancing the quality of life for individuals served. Experience in social work or related fields is a plus.
