This vital role offers an opportunity to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and residents requiring memory or dementia care. As a caregiver, you will play a key part in enhancing quality of life through attentive, personalized assistance in a warm and respectful environment. All roles are paid positions, emphasizing the value of your dedication and skills. Responsibilities Provide attentive overnight and weekend care to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout your shift Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior, documenting findings accurately in care plans Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and prescribed schedules, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents with meal consumption as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning common areas, laundry, and sanitizing resident spaces Support residents with cognitive impairments like Alzheimer's or dementia through memory care techniques and compassionate engagement Skills Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly valued Strong patient observation skills to detect subtle changes in health or behavior promptly Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and basic first aid/CPR certification Familiarity with care plans, HIPAA compliance, and documentation standards for patient privacy and safety Ability to assist with ADLs using manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and effectively Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, or geriatrics is preferred Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and engage compassionately with residents This dynamic role offers flexible scheduling options for those passionate about caregiving.
