In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your enthusiasm and proactive approach will help foster a warm, engaging environment where seniors and individuals with disabilities feel valued and cared for. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve while working in a supportive and dynamic setting. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to track health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols Support residents with dementia or memory care needs through specialized engagement and behavior management techniques Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with transfers and mobility Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist residents during mealtimes Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards Document resident progress, incidents, and care activities using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Drive residents to appointments or community outings as needed, ensuring safety during transportation Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care plans Qualifications Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care environments preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, geriatrics, and behavioral management techniques Experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care within a home or community setting Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as medication administration or manual handling are advantageous Familiarity with EMR systems and medication management protocols Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with residents, families, and team members Valid driver's license for transportation duties preferred but not mandatory Compassionate attitude coupled with patience, flexibility, and a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life Join us in creating a caring community where every individual receives the respect, attention, and support they deserve.
