Job Description

Overview Join our compassionate team as a caregiver dedicated to enhancing the lives of elderly individuals with developmental disabilities! In this vital role, you will provide personalized care, support daily activities, and promote independence for residents in a caring, respectful environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a positive impact every day. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and transfer devices. Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to promote independence. Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, utilizing patience and specialized techniques. Document care activities accurately in accordance with facility policies and assist in developing or updating personalized care plans. Qualifications MUST have at least 6 months of prior experience working with those who are developmentally disable, those who are in the phon in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, home health environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA training, and any relevant caregiving or nursing credentials are preferred. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for resident transfers and mobility assistance. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs is a strong plus. Strong communication skills with a compassionate attitude towards seniors and individuals with disabilities. Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays as needed. Our work environment includes:
Lively atmosphere Safe work environment Experienced caregiver needed to provide hands-on care to the Elderly. Must meet the following requirements. Previous experience providing care to 2-4 elderly in a residential care home environment. Valid First Aid and CPR certificate, negative TB clearance, current live scan, medication management experience and at least 6 months experience working with people who have developmental disabilities. Must have good nutrition skills, light house cleaning required. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Self starter, time management skills. Must be capable of maneuvering/positioning Elderly as needed. Must be flexible Responsibilities
  • Provide compassionate care and assistance to elderly individuals in their homes or care facilities.
